In regards to witchcraft, it is subtle in nature, and I felt well portrayed. There is always an underlining feeling of menace, something I always enjoy. I loved the overriding gothic vibes that extended throughout the story so well done.

I was surprised to learn that this is a debut, the writing feels lush and experienced. The setting and language of this novel were both extremely captivating for me.
